Come to Cosa in south-western Tuscany to explore the remains of a Roman town here. Situated 110 metres above sea level, Cosa overlooks the beautiful coastline close to the scenic lagoon town of Orbetello.
Why not book into a glorious villa in Grosetto province and enjoy all that this southern area of Tuscany has to offer!
Many excavations have taken place here throughout the 20th century to uncover the Roman buildings left in ruins here. A clever street plan had been constructed here. There was a fair sized forum which would have been Cosa town square. Trading of food and goods would have taken place here between the townsfolk.
