The main entrance of Villa Grevigiana leads into a welcoming living area furnished with comfortable sofas and armchairs, a flat screen TV, and a fireplace, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for the entire group. A generous dining room and a fully equipped professional kitchen provide everything needed for preparing and enjoying meals together. On the ground floor, the first 5 double bedrooms are located, each with its own private bathroom with shower and direct access to the outdoor equipped areas. On the first floor, the remaining 7 double bedrooms are situated, all with ensuite bathrooms with shower and mosquito nets on the windows. The villa also features a recently built SPA, complete with a large hot tub, a massage room, and a Finnish sauna, the use of which is included in the rental price. The property is fully air conditioned, and this service is included in the rental price. Daily maid service is provided for 4 hours per day, and the final cleaning is included. Bed linen is changed mid-week, and towels are changed twice a week. A refundable security deposit of 1500 euros is required upon arrival and must be paid in cash; it will be returned upon departure, less any costs for damages or unpaid fees. The minimum rental period is 1 week, with Saturday as the changeover day. Check-in is available from 4.00 pm to 7.00 pm, and check-out must be completed before 10.00 am. Heating during winter is available as an additional expense and is charged according to consumption. City taxes, where applicable, are also charged as an additional expense. Castello di Montegufoni is an exclusive location to spend wonderful holidays in the heart of Chianti Region.
Dating back to the 12th century and restored in the 17th century by the noble family of Acciaioli, the Castle has a magnificent tower built on the model of the one of Palazzo Vecchio in Florence.
Montegufoni Castle is part of a large estate comprising vineyards and olive trees and is surrounded by the beautiful Chianti landscape. In the castle there are 39 apartments and a large garden with a nice swimming pool: the perfect spot to relax and have fun with your family and friends.
The Chianti Region is one of the most renowned charming area in Italy for its cultural, historical and enogastronomic traditions. This luxurious Castle offers to our guests incredible holiday experiences (on request) such as cooking lessons, event location, guided tours and more!
Distances from the villa: the small village of Montagnana V.P. with food shops 1 km, Montespertoli with all kinds of shops approx. 5 km, Florence 20 km, Pisa approx. 70 km.
A bus stop with busses to Florence is only a few meters from the castle away. Bikes and scooters for rent are available in Montespertoli.
At guests’ disposal: large and very charming terraced park furnished with garden furniture and table tennis, beautiful Italian gardens (dating back to the 18th century) with lemon trees and swimming-pool (12 x 6 m - open from 01/04 to 31/10). Reception open from 9.00 to 12.30 and from 14.30 to 18.30. The outbuildings of the castle as well were restored and turned into charming apartments. The castle is run by the Posarelli family. A nice restaurant offering nice recipes of the local Chianti tradition is open every night (from April to October except on Tuesdays). Laundry with shared washing-machine (€ 4,- / per washing). Casa Paggetti is an ancient stone farmhouse located in the village of Pescina, in the Chianti hills, with panoramic views of vineyards, olive groves and woods. Dating back to the 17th century, the house belonged to the Paggetti family, whose coat of arms is still visible on the facade. Restored to respect its historic character, the villa is spread over three floors and retains original elements such as terracotta floors, vaulted ceilings, exposed beams and period furniture, with parquet in the bedrooms. The garden, shaded by tall cypress trees, is arranged on terraces and lawns furnished with outdoor dining areas and lounges, as well as an outdoor kitchen with barbecue and wood oven. A swimming pool and a heated hot tub complete the picture. In a hilly position, the villa is ideal for exploring Greve in Chianti, Florence and the entire Chianti Classico area.

The villa is spread over three levels for a total of about 550 square meters. GROUND FLOOR — Entrance to open space living area with dining table, fireplace and kitchen with access to the outdoor dining area; dining room with fireplace and French windows to the terrace; living room with TV; bathroom with shower and laundry area. LOWER FLOOR — Living room with ornamental fireplace and access to the lower garden terrace; gym; bathroom with shower. Park:
The villa is surrounded by a fenced terraced garden of about 3000 square meters, bordered by stone walls and high hedges. The garden is spread over three levels. The stone-paved upper level includes a shaded dining area with table and umbrella, a seating area covered by a shade sail, a built-in barbecue and a wood-burning oven. Flowerpots, vines and cypresses complete the green setting around the house. A stone staircase leads to the second level, with a tiled area where there is a relaxation area, the entrance to the basement and access to the covered garage. On this level there is also the driveway gate, accessible from a small road that runs along the property and leads to the internal car park. The surrounding lawn houses the pool with solarium. Finally, a second staircase leads to the lower level, planted with olive trees and a cherry and fig orchard, bordered by a stone border. N.B.: Please note that the photo shoots are usually carried out in spring, so the colors and blooms of the gardens, lawns and parks may be different when you enter the villa.
Pool:
The pool is located a few meters from the house, on the second level of the garden; it is accessed via a stone staircase or along a path in the lawn. Irregularly shaped, it measures about 12 x 10 m with a depth varying from 1.20 to 1.80 m; it is covered in PVC and bordered with terracotta finishes; access to the water is via a Roman staircase. The pool is equipped with internal lighting and a chlorine purification system. The surrounding solarium area is partly paved with stone and partly with lawn; it is furnished with sun loungers, umbrellas, tables and a lounge area. In this same area there is also an outdoor shower and a 2 x 2.20 m heated hot tub, with three seats. The pool is open from the last Saturday in April to the first Saturday in October.

The lower terrace is home to the magnificent infinity pool, a rectangular non-heated pool measuring 6 by 12 metres, with a depth ranging from 1.20 to 2 metres. Lined in PVC and equipped with a salt purification system, the pool features submerged steps for easy water access and can be enjoyed even after sunset thanks to interior and exterior lighting. The surrounding solarium, finished in stone and lawn, is furnished with sunbeds, an umbrella, and a comfortable sofa with armchairs shaded by a gazebo. Hot and cold-water showers are available on one side of the pool area, and a security fence runs along the external perimeter. The pool is open from the last Saturday in April until the first Saturday in October. Beyond the pool terrace, the garden unfolds across multiple levels, offering 2 terraces with sitting areas, a vine-covered American pergola with a dining table set within the fenced garden in front of the main entrance, and a spacious central courtyard housing a portico with a dining table alongside an outdoor kitchen complete with a stone barbecue and worktop. From this central living space, a corridor leads to a double bedroom and a bathroom with shower. The corridor also connects to a passage room, designed to serve as a reading, relaxation, or games room, which in turn leads to the master bedroom complete with an ensuite bathroom with shower. The passage room contains a sofa bed available for use by a couple requiring separate sleeping arrangements or for a child wishing to sleep near their parents, without exceeding the maximum occupancy of 6 guests. The 3rd double bedroom, distinguished by large panoramic windows that frame the surrounding countryside, is situated in the annex and is served by its own bathroom with shower.

On the first floor of the farmhouse resides the owners, who are not present during the period from May to September. Guests are kindly informed that the photographs of the property were taken in spring, and therefore the flowering of plants and the colour of the garden grass may differ from what is visible in the images at the time of arrival. Pets are welcome at the property. Tourist tax may be applicable depending on current local regulations.

In front of the annex and overlooking the pool, a portico furnished with sofas and tables offers the perfect vantage point for enjoying an aperitif at sunset. The south-facing pool area lies in a panoramic position just a few steps from the annex and approximately 20 metres from the main villa, reached via a paved path bordered by flowering shrubs. The rectangular pool measures 6 by 12 metres with a depth of 1.50 metres and is lined in PVC with salt treatment purification, internal lights, Roman steps, and a ladder for water access. The expansive stone-paved and lawn sunbathing area surrounding the pool is equipped with sunbeds, deckchairs, umbrellas, and tables.
