We here, at Tuscany Villas, are keen to find attractions and activities for you to enjoy in Tuscany that are a little off the beaten track. We want to show you various sides of this beautiful region, often sides tourists never see, and offer you a wide variety of things to see and do. Hit up the must-see spots and iconic attractions, of course, but if you are looking for something a little different as well, we've got you covered. Recently, we discussed surfing (and how surprisingly good it is) in Tuscany but that is not the only excellent outdoor pursuit that the region facilitates perfectly; there are also brilliant rock climbing facilities throughout Tuscany.

The landscape of Tuscany is beautiful and varied, with lots of rolling hills, medieval hill towns and craggy cliffs that offer a wide range of rock climbing, from single pitch sport routes to long multi-pitch routes across a wide range of grades.

After Sicily and Sardinia, the Tuscan Coast is one of the most popular parts of Italy for water sports and for good reason; there are beautiful beaches, great facilities, perfect waves and a range of locations that are suitable for people of all levels of competency. If you have planned a trip to Tuscany, you might be scheduling or lining up all sorts of outings. I mean, there is absolutely no shortage of things to see or do, is there? Based on review sites, articles and recommendations, we have compiled a list of some excellent options but the only way to really know is to try them for yourself. 7. Florence – Mercato Centrale

We have mentioned a couple of Florentine locations so far but this spot is something special. Unlike the other picks, it isn't a single, dedicated pizzeria but an indoor market place where you can find food vendors selling and cooking various kinds of food, all under one roof.

Continuing on from our previous posts, we have been tracking down some of the best-rated and most beloved pizza places in Tuscany. Of course, it isn't possible to try out every single restaurant, personally, or to definitively say that one restaurant is better than the rest, however, we have trawled across lots of different review websites to see what real people are saying. Another Florentine entry, this is the top-rated pizza place in the city according to Yelp. Located on Via Maggio, it is a buzzy, busy spot that is very popular with locals.
