Explore the well preserved 10th century castle that still stands proudly in Carmignano and walk around the glorious interior of San Michele e Francesco church. This 12th century building houses some ornate paintings and sculptures worth seeing.
Spend a few interesting hours visiting the Etruscan tombs unearthed in nearby Comeana and go on a pleasant hike to the neighbouring villages of Artimino and Bacchereto.
