Description
Villa Cerretalta is in a wonderful position on a small hill surrounded by Brunello vineyards, within the national park of Val D'Orcia. The 7 bedroom, 6 bath property is set between the cities of Montalcino and San Quirico D'Orcia (both are about 10 km away), yet in few minutes you can reach the little town of Torrenieri (5 km) where you can find the nearest shops, supermarket and restaurants.
The owner occasionally uses the independent building nearby and whilst respecting your privacy will be at your disposal if you should need any help.
Cerretalta is completely surrounded by hedges and fences to guarantee total privacy. Nonetheless, you have a wonderful sight over the countryside.
Once you enter the gateway, there is a large courtyard plenty of tables and chairs at guests’ disposal as well as the brick barbeque. Across the court there is a lovely area with a big round stone table and matching benches sheltered from the sun by a pergola. Here there is also a second way out from the property, down a stone staircase and through a small iron gate.
There are two garden areas.
The first one is bordered by mature trees, should the guests enjoy a peaceful shady lawn, and it is situated next to a white travertine floored space with tables, chairs and parasol. This is the perfect location where you can have your meals, while taking in the beautiful view over the surrounding farmland.
From here, few stone steps lead to the second garden that is located near the poolside. A small gate possibly delimits the way so as to prevent little children from reaching the swimming-pool area without permission. Some fruit trees, flowers and shrubs brighten the place and there is also a gazebo with table and chairs. An extensive hedge marks the limits of the patch.

Podere Bagnolo is a typical Tuscan farmhouse that has been renovated, retaining its rural origin as an old farmer's home. It is part of a large agricultural estate and is reached along a dirt road from where you can see animals grazing and the cultivated fields of the property. Entirely clad in stone, the traditionally Tuscan interior of the farmhouse is rustic and very cosy with the added comfort of modern accessories: fully air-conditioned, it has four large bedrooms with private bathroom. The well-kept garden surrounding it, from where you can admire beautiful sunsets from the exclusive pool just a few steps from the entrances, stands in the quiet of the most authentic Tuscan countryside and surrounded by the hills of the Val D'Orcia, south of Siena. Situated in a hilly position, the property is a short distance away from the wonderful Renaissance towns of Pienza (13 km) and Montepulciano (5 km) and just 5 minutes from captivating Monticchiello, with its structure of typical medieval fortified borgo and sentinel, from its high dominant position, of wonderful panoramic views. Interior:
Podere Bagnolo has two floors communicating via an external staircase. The main entrance on the ground floor leads into the living area with open-plan kitchen, dining and seating area (with ornamental fireplace). The floor is completed by two double bedrooms with direct access to the outside through French windows, both with private bathroom, one with hydromassage shower and the other with hydromassage tub. The external staircase on one side of the farmhouse leads up to the first floor with a living room with kitchenette, a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with hydromassage shower and a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with hydromassage tub.
Park:
The farmhouse stands within a farm estate that extends for about 135 hectares, consisting of agricultural land destined to livestock for grazing and for the production of dairy products. The 1000 sq m completely fenced-in park, for exclusive use of guests, consists of a beautiful large lawned garden, full of indigenous shrubs, olive trees, cypresses and flowering bushes. Next to the French window of the living room is the dining area, with a table, a barbecue and a big umbrella, just a few steps from the swimming pool. The park is accessed through an automatic gate, past which is the parking area about 20 m from the house.
Please notice that photos are taken in spring, therefore flower blossoming, and the colours of the gardens' grass could be different at the moment of your arrival at the villa.
Swimming Pool:
The fenced-in pool, embellished by a beautiful panoramic setting, lies in front of the house which is about 8 m away and can be reached across the level lawn. The rectangular pool measures 6 x 12 m with the depth ranging from 1.40 to 2 m; bordered in stone and lined with PVC, it has chlorine purification and Roman steps for access to the water. The sunbathing area on the surrounding lawn is bordered by hedges and bushes and equipped with sunbeds, deckchairs, small tables and sun umbrellas. The pool will be open from the last Saturday in April to the first Saturday in October.

The perfect place to take your children on holiday! Agriturismo Le Calle is located in the heart of the Maremma about 9 km from Cinigiano and Paganico, and is the ideal place for those seeking relaxation in the hills, and for those who want their children to have an unforgettable experience in contact with nature and the farm animals, such as sheep, the friendly donkeys from Amiata, the Cinta Senese pigs and the Maremma cows.
The farm consists of about 80 hectares and produces excellent Montecucco D.O.C. wines, extra virgin olive oil, Cinta Senese cold cuts, honey, cereals and legumes, with which the owners Riccardo and Savina will be happy to tempt you.
You can take a dip in the sea with wonderful trips, even daily, to the seaside resorts on the golden Tyrrhenian coast. Castiglione della Pescaia, Marina di Grosseto and Marina di Alberese are about 50 km away and can be reached in just over 30 minutes by car.
The Agriturismo Le Calle is composed of 4 holiday apartments, 3 of which are in the farm centre, (Carola, Olinto and Bandiera) and the CASETTA LE CALLE which is 2 km away, reachable by an unpaved road, not advisable for sports cars. Casetta Le Calle is particularly recommended for those who wish to maintain their privacy, where a breathtaking 360° panorama awaits you around the house. Green and gentle hills, which in every season and in every moment of the day will give you unforgettable images and colours.
Adjacent to the farmhouse, where the owner's house is also located, you will find the swimming pool (size 6x12 m - depth 1,20 - 1,70 m - open from 01st May to 15 October), the laundry room, a bathroom with shower, and the park with children's playground.
Pets are welcome (extra charge could be required).
During the months of July and August during your stay the owner will organise a trip in an AGRIBUS, a tractor-drawn trailer for transporting people, a modern version of an ox-drawn cart, and will take you around the farm to admire the beautiful landscape of the Maremma. A family experience you won't forget.
After the trip, all participants will be offered a tasting dinner with the farm's products (included in the price for bookings of at least one week), evenings in company and joy shared with other guests and the owner's family that will remain in your fondest memories.

The garden surrounding the house is a succession of beautifully maintained grassy areas supported by shrubs of Mediterranean herbs, including lavender, rosemary, myrtle, and thyme, which adorn the wall-escarpment and fill the constant breeze with freshness and fragrance. Young olive trees, pomegranates, and cypress trees punctuate the large expanse of lawn, while winding paths lined with flowering tufts of gaura lead to the 2 ground floor entrances of the house. Two outdoor areas have been thoughtfully arranged beneath the porticos in front of the house: one dedicated to alfresco dining, positioned beside the dining room French window and equipped with a barbecue, and another designed for relaxation, furnished with a sofa and chairs. A short path climbs through the scenic lavender and rosemary-covered wall and over a small wooden ramp to reach the spectacular pool area, a natural terrace that stretches to the horizon and embraces the lands of the lower Val di Chiana. At its centre lies the stunning non-heated infinity pool, south-facing and equally enchanting by night, where a sophisticated interplay of internal and external lighting creates a magical atmosphere. The pool measures 6 x 13 metres with a constant depth of 1.40 metres, is bordered with ceramic tiles, lined in PVC, and features salt purification. Access to the water is via large steps. Elegant sunbeds and small tables are scattered throughout the surrounding area, which is further enhanced by a lovely wooden gazebo covered in climbing wisteria and roses. The owner a renowned Italian Architect and Interior Designer restored the villa in total respect to the Tuscan tradition and furnished it with an impressive combination of furniture personally designed and some antiques ones. The property comprises the main Tuscan stone-built farmhouse and a bedroom with en-suite bathroom in the guesthouse. Other bedrooms with en-suite bathroom can be rented at extra cost sleeping up to 18 people. Lavacchio has been restored and furnished to high standard all the first floor bedrooms have air-conditioning and two other portable units are available on request.

Departure time is Saturday at 10:00 AM. Upon arrival at the property, you are required to provide a photocopy of each traveler's passport and sign a form for the local authorities. A security deposit is required upon arrival, payable in cash to the property representative, and will be returned to you prior to your departure minus any accidental damages to the property. Please note that fans are not usable at this property. Heating in Italy is allowed by law from November 1 through April 1, with some exceptions for extreme weather conditions. Television service includes English channels available for your viewing. Dogs are accepted upon request. Baby beds and chairs are available upon request to accommodate families with young children.
