Towards the pool area, a sustainable planting project has introduced singular species of creeping plants suited to dry, sloping soil, helping to minimize water consumption while maintaining the natural beauty of the surroundings. The outdoor dining area, positioned alongside the house, is shaded by an umbrella and offers a comfortable space for alfresco meals. A fixed barbecue is located just a few steps away, making outdoor cooking a natural part of the experience. The above-ground octagonal swimming pool, measuring 6.40 x 3.40 meters with a constant depth of 1.20 meters, is situated approximately 30 meters from the cottage on a lower level, reached via a short sloping path laid with Chianti stones in a distinctive lost steps pattern. The non-heated pool is lined in PVC and equipped with internal lighting, a chlorine purification system, and a wooden ladder for water access. The surrounding solarium area is shaded by oak trees and furnished with sunbeds and deckchairs, while a cold-water shower is conveniently located at the side of the pool. The pool is available from the last Saturday in April to the first Saturday in October. The structure in subdivided into 3 apartments, (there is no internal access between apartments) which come rented to one single party as a single rental villa. The largest apartment holds a dining room large enough for 8 guests to dine together.
The owners (who are very friendly but not intrusive) manage a family agricultural business from the same location and live a few meters away but do not share any of the outdoor areas with the guests – they do reserve access to a passage which runs below the largest apartment for use only when truly necessary. They will be available should guests require help or advice for what to visit and where to go to enjoy the best of Tuscany.
The property available for rent and the property where the owners live are separated by a border of flowers which gives the guests the most privacy possible.

The small town of Sciano is found just 450m from the house (easily reached on foot).
