Immediately behind the house, just outside the living room French windows, a terracotta-paved patio has been arranged as a fully equipped outdoor dining area, complete with a sun umbrella and a stone-built barbecue, making it an ideal setting for leisurely meals in the open air. From this patio, a few steps descend to a green lawn, naturally framed and sheltered by hedges and a picturesque vine screen, at the centre of which stands the private swimming pool reserved exclusively for the use of guests. The oval-shaped pool, accessed by Roman steps, is lined in PVC and features a depth ranging from 0.80 to 1.20 metres, chlorine purification, and internal lighting that renders it perfectly usable even during the evening hours. A stone walkway leads directly to the pool from the house, and the surrounding lawn sunbathing area is generously furnished with sunbeds, deckchairs, small tables, and umbrellas. A cold-water shower is also available poolside for guests' convenience. The swimming pool is non-heated and is open from the last Saturday in April until the first Saturday in October. This house was originally an old hayloft which has recently been converted into a delightful cottage. It is located in a superb position, high in the hills, 15 km to the south-east of Lucca, and surrounded by olive groves and pine trees. There are fantastic views over the countryside and the plain of Montecatini in the distance.
Close to the pool area, there is a stone-built barbecue and pizza oven, an outdoor shower and an outdoor dining area. Near the driveway, about 20 metres from the house, there is small guesthouse with a double bedroom and bathroom. The secluded position and the fact that it is accessible by its private road ensure peace and tranquillity for the guests of Al Mennucci. This road lasts for 1 km and it is unsealed, therefore not suitable for low sport cars.
After arriving you will be welcomed by the owner or manager where you’ll find a beautiful clean well-maintained property with views of the hills perfect for a peaceful holiday in Tuscany.
