Excellent 5 /5The Torre was lovely, beautiful grounds, great to have en suite bathrooms and very comfortable. Two things set it apart. First, the owner and his charming parents. rosato came by every day to work at his other property and would always chec k in and give us great recommendations, fix a minor detail like a leaking coffee pot, whatever. The second great part was to learn about the land from him. They have 150 acres and beyond the house you can walk for miles and miles and see no development, just sweeping views to the broad valley below and up side valleys. He manages his forests, mostly chestnuts! His family has been in the region for centuries and so there is this very deep connection to the landscape that brought a wonderful dimension of my understanding of the landscape,.. To see how they care for their forest so beautifully. Its quite wild up there, a refreshing balance to the beauty of the agricultural landscape below.
