Outdoors

The outdoor spaces of Casal del Salice are as captivating as the interiors, offering a seamless blend of natural beauty and thoughtfully designed leisure areas. The grounds extend across approximately 3 hectares of fully enclosed land, partly cultivated with a manicured and mostly flat lawn interspersed with a rich variety of fruit trees including figs, apricots, plums, peaches, medlars, and cherries, as well as olive, almond, and walnut trees, willows, and an abundance of aromatic herbs such as rosemary, sage, and thyme, alongside many types of seasonal flowers. Directly outside the French window of the lounge, dining room, and kitchen of the main house is a large portico with a wooden-beamed roof, furnished with chairs, a dining table, and a mobile barbecue, making it the perfect setting for al fresco meals. In the evening, outdoor lighting positioned throughout the garden illuminates the grounds beautifully, enhancing the atmosphere both around the pool and across the wider estate. On the opposite side of the main house, near the entrance to the annex, are the animal enclosures where horses, donkeys, peacocks, goats, and various birds live peacefully alongside the owners' dogs. The non-heated swimming pool occupies a panoramic position overlooking the hills of Todi, situated on the same level as the main house and directly in front of the portico, accessible from the living room across approximately 15 metres of lawn. The rectangular pool measures 12 x 6 metres, with a depth ranging from 1.20 to 2.70 metres, and features a terracotta border, Roman steps, PVC lining, and chlorine and oxygen purification. The surrounding sunbathing area is paved in terracotta and equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas, while a gazebo furnished with a sofa and coffee table provides welcome shade during the hottest hours of the day. The pool is open from the last Saturday of April until the first Saturday of October. Sipping an aperitif under the gazebo or dining under the portico at sunset, with the panoramic view stretching over the hills and villages below, promises to be an unforgettable experience. An enclosed mini-farm on the property is home to donkeys, horses, peacocks, goats, and all kinds of poultry, offering guests a unique opportunity to connect with nature. Every morning and evening, a caretaker visits to tend to the animals and, when available, will bring fresh eggs directly from the henhouse to guests. Casal del Salice accommodates up to 10 guests across 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, distributed between the main house and the annex. The main house is arranged over 2 floors. On the ground floor, the main entrance opens into a spacious open-plan area comprising a fully equipped kitchen, a large lounge, and a dining room. A French window in the dining area provides direct access to the portico and the outdoor dining space. The ground floor also includes a double bedroom, a twin bedroom, and a bathroom with a bathtub. From the sitting room, 14 steps lead up to the first floor, where a double bedroom is located along with an ensuite bathroom with shower. All bedrooms in the main house are equipped with a television and air conditioning. The annex is situated on a single floor at a lower level than the main house and is reached by crossing the pool area, then descending a stone path and fourteen wooden steps. Its entrance leads into a sitting room featuring a sofa and a wood stove. To the right of the sitting room is a double bedroom with the option of one additional single bed, along with an adjoining bathroom with a bathtub. To the left of the sitting room is a further double bedroom with an ensuite bathroom with shower. Both bedrooms in the annex are equipped with a television, and air conditioning is available in the bedrooms only.

Pets are welcome at Casal del Salice, with a mandatory extra cleaning fee applicable per animal per week, to be paid on site. The 5-car open-air parking area is available to guests at no additional charge.
