New Review Submitted for Spuntone located in Montalcino, Tuscany, Italy.

Rental Date: Saturday 13th of July 2013.
Renter Rating: 5/5.
Review Details:
My family (4 adults and 1 baby - mix Canadian/Australian) stayed at the Spuntone villa in Montalcino in July 2013 and I must say it was a real treat. To say that we were blown away upon arrival is an understatement - the villa and property are much better than they appear online (and it looked great online!).

The villa itself is very large inside and could easily accommodate a group larger than ours. The owners of this villa have struck a fantastic balance between that traditional italian village feel with the mod cons that many travellers now value (wifi, modern kitchen, renovated bathrooms, etc.). The bedrooms are large and comfortable with beautiful views of the valley and town. The bathrooms are very well renovated and numerous with 4 to share! The living and dining areas are both large with high ceilings. The kitchen is on the smaller side but it did the trick and comes fully-loaded with everything you could want. The property itself is stunning with an outdoor dining area (undercover) and pool with deck chairs.

The villa is on the edge (walking distance) of an amazing hilltop town called Montalcino that is postcard perfect. If you are a wine lover then the region is the place to be and you'll get to know the famous 'Brunello di Montalcino' and others. There are lovely restaurants, small boutique shops and you're never far from gelato!

We had a rental car and comfortably made day trips to Sienna (1 hour) and Florence (2 hours). We much preferred staying in this wonderful little village and making trips to the bigger towns/cities as opposed to the opposite as it was a very relaxing way to see Italy.

Montalcino was only 3 hours drive from Rome and finding your way from the airport (if you're flying into Rome as we did) was easy with GPS.

All-in-all I can say that this villa and holiday dramatically exceeded my expectations and I can only hope to return again in the future.

New Review Submitted for Casa Guia: Casa Guia 4 located in Bucine, Tuscany, Italy.

Rental Date: Tuesday 17th of September 2013.
Renter Rating: 3/5.
Review Details:
The villa was clean and quite large inside. The hot water in the lower bedroom did not work and office clerk was notified but nothing was done to fix it. Some of the outlets in the kitchen didn't work so we had to find ones that would so we could plug in the microwave and toaster. Plugs wouldn't go into the outlets. Power got turned off the day we left so glad we didn't have to deal with that, the poor folks staying who did. Now that I am more familiar with the area I probably would have stayed a little closer to Florence, but the location was perfect if one wanted to see Siena, Cortona etc.
