Villa Sonia, San Donato in Poggio
Sleeps up to 12
6 bedrooms
5 bathrooms
“Villa Sonia was perfect in every way, The buildings are beautiful, the grounds immaculate. The facilities inside are very modern, with plenty of everything to allow us to explore cooking with the local ingredients. We even tried out the pizza oven on our last night.
The layout of the buildings gives plenty of space for everyone to get together or, find their own pool of tranquillity. This made it a joy to spend the week with friends and family (we had 6 adults, 3 teens and an 8 year old). The pictures on the website really do not do justice to what you will find when you arrive.
A big thank-you to Barbara & family who were perfect hosts, so welcoming and friendly, this made the checking in process after a long day of travel painless. They were always there to help with anything (we had a power cut the first night, and they arrived in minutes to fix).
We're already thinking about a return visit. The honesty bar wine cellar a surprise bonus!
One minor niggle - and nothing to do with the property, is that there is no gelateria in San Donato, however the one in Castellina is well worth the short drive.”

Pazzi Penthouse Luxury Apartment, Florence
Sleeps up to 10
4 bedrooms
5 bathrooms
“Piazza Penthouse is a beautiful well-furnished apartment, very clean, and on site staff is a real plus and they were very helpful. It is well located for visiting Florence and seems to be a location for impromptu musical performances, which we enjoyed. We would definitely pick it again on a future visit.”

Villa La Piana, Pedona
Sleeps up to 4
2 bedrooms
1 bathroom
“We had a wonderful time at Villa La Piana. The view from the terrace over the sea in the distance is beautiful, the pool is very refreshing, and the grounds are well-maintained and lovingly landscaped. Inside, there is a small, well-equipped kitchen, a small bathroom, two bedrooms and a large living room. At night, all you can hear is the cicadas. It's just a few minutes' walk to Pedona, where you can buy essentials in a small shop, get an ice cream or go to a restaurant in the evening. By car, you can reach the beach in 20 minutes and Pisa and Lucca are also quite close. Riccardo, the host, was incredibly friendly and accommodating, took care of the pool once a week and even brought us a small breakfast. We were thoroughly impressed and would return anytime!”

Podere i Gigli, Castiglion Fiorentino
Sleeps up to 6
3 bedrooms
3 bathrooms
“We had an excellent 2 weeks in this beautiful house. The photos don’t do it justice. Our host Sabrina and her family live next door. She was lovely and helpful with anything we needed or asked. She cleans the pool and outside area every morning and evening. It’s kept beautiful. But they don’t impose at all. There are many restaurants within 10–15 min walk. Up a huge hill. We certainly got our exercise in before dinner. La Piano is good for something fancy and different. Il Gallo Nero was amazing for pasta dishes. It was the best pasta we’d ever eaten and was only €10 a bowl. We had 5 main courses, 3 desserts and 2 bottles of wine and it was under €100! Unbelievable value. Da Muzzicone was lovely too. We had amazing ribeye steak. There were 3 good supermarkets within a few minutes drive. Train station is nearby so you can travel further. We took a train to Florence for the day which was lovely. We also drove to Cortona, Pienza and Montepulciano. All lovely places to see. Beautiful scenery everywhere you go. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back. Highly recommend.”
