Come and see the glorious sight of the old Sonnino Castle near Livorno in Tuscany. This 19th century castle was built on a cliff overlooking the sea and is nearby to the small village of Quercianella.
It is now privately owned and only opens to the public on special occasions. Castle Sonnino even has its own private marina!

The exterior is framed all around with small battlements and is topped off with an impressive looking tower. Inside Castello Sonnino is simply yet elegantly designed.
Nearby is the pretty little village of Quercianella and further north is the busy seaside town of Castiglioncello.
Attractions here worth seeing include the Castello Pasquini, Torre di Castiglioncello and the fascinating National Archaeological museum.
