Volterra is a town in the Tuscany region of Italy and it has many a tale associated with it, including the popular fictional works of Stephenie Meyer, called Twilight, where Volterra is home to a coven of ancient vampires called the Volturi. Unfortunately however, the movie was shot elsewhere in Montepulciano, so the sights that you will see on the big screen are not those of the real Volterra.

There are many things to do in Volterra including a trip to the Etruscan Burial Sites and the Roman Theatre, but one of the things that really stands out for this town is the Volterragusto.
The Volterragusto is an event that is held for 2 weekends, where people can taste the typical Tuscan food such as olive oil and truffle and browse through a food market where locally produced products are sold, such as wines, cheeses, chocolate and more.
