The apartment is beautiful and we loved our time there. We found the apartment quite dark inside and a little cold in September with its stone floors. I would suggest more lighting and more floor rugs for this time of year.
The apartment was perfectly clean and a joy to stay in. Lovely being so close to Florence and yet have such lovely views. Giuseppe and Simona were the only people we meet really and they were both lovely, especially Simona who wanted to be helpful all the time and her collegue who ran the bar on Sundays.
This villa is very small, but beautifully formed! It has all the
essential things you need, including kitchen area with fridge, microwave
and oven. The location is fantastic, with the views over the Tuscan
countryside from the pool and the main bedroom being second to none! A
car is definitely needed for the visits to the hilltop villages, and the
closest restaurant Antico Desco is highly recommended. I would highly
recommend this villa.
Cozy and charming location for those expecting to stay tucked away in Chianti. The views from the living room are great. The owner was friendly and accommodating. I would recommend stocking up on snacks and breakfast items to avoid making frequent visits into town - about 6 km away.
A lovely property. The rooms were spacious and the views from the patios were excellent. Good linens and the ladies were nice enough to procure a microwave for us. We were the only people on the property so they were able to raid the other apartments.
My complaint is that other than the olive oil and wines that were stocked for a price, we would have appreciated some basic stuff, like salt and pepper and maybe enough coffee for the next morning. We arrived late afternoon and there was nowhere to procure these things without making a trip to the village which we were in no mood to do after a long journey all the way from Rome. If we had been told in advance that there was basically nothing there, we would have planned accordingly. Surely these few things could have been provided considering what we were paying. Some paper towels would have also been appreciated.
We decided to leave a day early because my mother is disabled and thought we should spend the last night at a hotel near Florence airport. I asked about this several days in advance but was told that it was not possible because the owner had already been paid. I can assure you nobody was waiting for our suite. We are not rich and a refund for one night would have defrayed the cost of an expensive hotel.
I would hesitate to recommend the property unless some of these issues could have been resolved.
We loved it! Absolutely beautiful building and environment. Lovely and quiet and we often felt we were the only ones there, even by the pool, although it was busier at different times of the day. Guests were friend, discreet staff in the office were helpful and friendly. Very spacious rooms, all equipment we needed and clean. We booked at the last minute so didn't have a huge choice of rooms. This one was a little dark and we didn't really want to eat indoors, so we took our breakfast downstairs and outside. Would love to go here again.
Abbiamo alloggiato in questo agriturismo nel mese di agosto.Un posto molto bello,pulito,dove regna la pace e la tranquillità.Le camere sono spaziose e arrendete in stile locale, inoltre la piscina era abbastanza grande e soprattutto pulita. Per chi volesse stare in relax e godersi la vacanza , ecco a vuoi l'agriturismo che fa per voi. Consigliato!!!!!!!!
[English translation courtesy of Easy Reserve] We stayed in this farmhouse in the month of August. A very nice place, clean, where peace and tranquility reign. The rooms are spacious and furnished in the local style, also the pool was quite large and very clean. For those wishing to relax and enjoy the holiday, this is the farm for you. Recommended!!!
Thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay in the Fienile at Torre a Cona. The Unit was well equipped and very comfortable for 4 adults. Torre a Cona ia a beautiful property and conveniently located near Florence, but also very quiet and rural. Torre a Cona staff were very friendly and helpful from the booking process all the way through checkout. Highly recommend this property!
We stayed at Girasole in September. It was very quiet as none of the other apartments were occupied. We arrived early and the host allowed us to check in (3pm as opposed to after 5pm). As a result of this we overlooked the stuffiness and the fact only 1 bed was made up (there were 4 of us). The propery was quite old and the bathrooms in need of updating, and felt like the entire place needed a good dusting. However that said, it was an old building and we really enjoyed the rustic charm. The large outdoor entertaining area was amazing and we spent a lot of time there. The kitchen was adequate for our needs as were the utensils/crockery. The views to the surrounding countryside were spectacular and you had a perfect view of San Gimignano from the road at the front of the property. We had problems with the hot water, which the owner promptly had repaired. The washing machine was also broken, but the owners allowed us to use another on the property. It was a little out of the way, but a nice place to visit and we enjoyed our stay and the company of the local cat who made itself at home with us.
This villa was a joy to have rented. It was homey and clean and spacious. The owners were very pleasant to deal with and the location was outstanding for the Tuscan region. Family friendly, simple to find and the B&B next door (Molina de Foci) with it's extremely friendly, helpful, gracious staff was a bonus. I would definitely stay there again.
