Eccellente 5 /5We (husband, wife and 15 year old son) had a great time at Il Pigionale. It is the quintessential Tuscan villa. Located in a small village on a hilltip. The village has an excellant restaraunt, butcher, fruit shop and small supermarket. Under the house was a fully equipped laundry, that came in handy. The owners of the villa were fantastic. Waiting for us was one bottle of white wine and one bottle of red. We also took up the option of a free cooking lesson with Marina in their home (about 20 kms away). It was a highlight of our trip. We make pasta, meat dish plus a pie for desert, all from first principles. Then we ate the diner together with their family. Sensational. They are perfect hosts. The villa is centally located to all points in Tuscany, although a car is essential. The villa is beatifully finished. I am sure you would not be disappointed. Highly recommended.
