The Childhood
After few days in Tuscany, where we visited the most famous attractions like Florence, Pisa or Siena, in one afternoon we went to Collodi. I have been no happy to go there, a place strong recommended for the children, and I have had in my mind to look for a coffee or a long drink until my wife and my friends will getting boring.
I parked the car and I have seen immediately the villa, Villa Garzoni on the top of the hill and dominate the small town which lies in the foothills.
When I stepped in the garden I felt a dramatically change in my mind, like a long journey back in time, in my childhood.
A black swan made a bow for a curtsying welcome and a fountain spread the water in the wind on sounds of harp. I went up, on the slope, among statues and take a break on each terrace to see the perspective. I said "Hello" to the monkeys, I looked with a dog to a mosaic and I heard the story of the man which have to keep a barrel with water on his shoulder for ever.
When I stepped out from the garden, I became again a boring adult...
